homeless already?

new york is a crazy place. and it gets crazier when you have a crazy owner of your apartment.
she told me i'd have my own room when i got here. so when i moved in and found bags in my room and clothes, i was very confused. turns out, the girl who was staying in the room was actually the girl who's room it was...sister. if that makes sense. but the girl whose room this WAS decided not to move back in (I WONDER WHY), and the sister took on another bed. so it left me with my own room. me and my dad went and bought new sheets and cute things for my new room. i called julie, the owner, to let her know i wanted my own room. we really played phone tag all day, we each called each other, like, 3 times. finally, we got ahold of each other and i asked if i could officially have my own room and pay the rent that erin, the previous owner of this room, had been paying. she said "oh actually one of my interns is moving into that room and she wants her own room. so you and casey are moving into the front room together to share like we'd planned in the beginning." we'd NEVER planned this from the beginning. and just yesterday she told casey she'd have the front room by herself. so she is lying to someone and just trying to make everyone happy and it isn't working.
so, in february i have to either share a room (right now it has one bed. but she said she'd get two beds for it. we'll see.) here, OR have to find somewhere else and lose the deposit money. so its pretty crazy and very stressful. its enough to be living in new york city by myself, but its another thing having to deal with housing drama. its been such a blessing to have my dad here with me, but he's leaving sunday. if we would have known about this sooner, we could have been looking for an apartment this whole time. CRAAZY.

another interesting thing. i think i'm moving home in december for good and i might not go to summer school here.

besides the drama, i'm getting used to new york. i went to my school and loved it.
it should be really fun, the teachers are all willing to help me and get everything figured out. i know how to get to my school and everything, yay. i talked to journeys and they offered me the jobb! its at a really busy place in midtown. right across the street from the huge macy's. i think i'm going to take the job there! the people that work there are crazy, and nice. one of them said "those eyes. thats all she needs in order to sell shoes." that is false, but was cute of him to say.
we saw the eiffel tower aka empire state building, juilliard,
 rockafeller center,
building they filmed enchanted in,
times square. we saw legally blonde on broadway which was AMAZING. i highly reccomend it. i get bored way easily and i was entertained the whole time! we went into the huge macy's and bought a really cute coat for my dad. we went to the NBC store and bought swag. "stuff we all get." i got an office poster, and an office shirt that is too funny.
dad got a heroes hat and other shwag for my family... not amanda sorry. :(

we were going to go to chinatown tomorrow to canal street and buy designer things but now i need to find a home! its 1 am and my dad just said i needed to go to sleep. he's sleeping in the bunk bed below me and i guess he can't handle the typing:)

goodnight.
