jon and i got married, and the next day packed up all our furniture, clothes and other belongings to move to california and start our new life together.
both hotels were beautiful and i would stay there again so fast.
hotels on base could use some work, ummm...i was grateful to get housing so fast.
anyway...
moral of the story is-we didn't get a legit honeymoon.
marrying jon and moving to san diego together is honeymoon enough, but we want to go on vacation. to a romantic place.
i'm thinking east coast-
Annapolis, MD?
i would love to stay in a pretty bed and breakfast there.
that looks so quaint and pretty.
hawaii-
quite typical and we've both been there a lot.
but the pretty beach and perfect weather would be ideal.
orrrr
if we went here, we could just drive to long beach and take a little boat to the island for like $60 a person. then we could use the airfare we would have used for the other places on a nicer hotel or fun activities...zip lines..massages.
it would still be like a vacation, away and on a little island.
the weather wouldn't be anything to write home about, i'm sure its the same as san diego.
soo...please help.
i'd love advice and ideas. places that you went or have been, places you've wanted to go. we want to stay in america. i don't know if jon can go out of the country? so it's easier to stay here. we want to go over our one year anniversary in may. hopefully he's home in time!

Oooh, all those places look so fun. I've always wanted to go to a Bed & Breakfast... and the east coast is always appealing to me (NYC!)... so, my vote would be Maryland. :) OR, you could just go to the airport and buy a ticket to the next flight out (like on Yes Man), within the country... I want to do that one day. Ah! What a great thing to look forward to!!
PS - Yes! We live in those apartments. Good guess :)
I've heard amazing things about the Sandals Resort on St. Lucia. Everything is included, including bottles of liquor brought straight to your room, bar tabs, a personal butler, and whatever food you want whenever you want it. And it's gorgeous. The best thing about it is you don't have to worry about money the entire time you are there. You pay for your package ahead of time, so you don't have to budget by the time you're there! My parents love Hawaii, but they liked St. Lucia better, because money was not a concern.
Catalina is a BLAST! And even though it is close it feels like you are in an island somewhere far away! It is adorable with a great beach, a museum, a cute theatre, a darling main street, amazing zip lines and other fun stuff. That is my vote!
I say go somewhere neither of you has ever been before. Each experience will be something new to both of you.

I agree!! Go to the place neither of you have been!! I would personally love the bed and breakfast! It sounds so nice and relaxing. And you're welcome for the hawaii pic! I am proud my pic made it to your blog ;) haha!!
Bed and Breakfast for sure, I would absolutely love that and if you've never been then even better!
Hawaii is so typical for a honeymoon (we went there) but it was SO beautiful!
What about going to an island in hawaii that neither of you have been to?
Or San Francisco (depending on your budget) you could drive and there is LOTS to do!
I'm coming in really really late... but. :) We live about an hour from Annapolis. It is such a charming city! I think you would love it. Plus, you could come see us. :) There is so much to see out here... or you could just find a nice little B&B ;)
