april with the hagerman's

when we got home from california we started giving prim rice cereal! she was 4.5 months old at the time. our doctor recommended giving her rice cereal at 3.5 months hoping it would help with her reflux, but we decided to wait another month. she was really into it!

katie sent me pictures from when i was a babe and i think these two look like our little angel! we have a picture of jonathan making a face that she makes too!
on april 7th, prim rolled onto her belly then over onto her back at ashton's. i didn't even see the whole thing happen!! that day we left her house and bought a pregnancy test that came up positive!
i was still working a couple hours a day for the lady in our neighborhood. i'd hold primrose until she fell asleep in my lap and i loved it. i'd feel her upper half slowly get heavier and drape over my arm. the lady i worked for always said i was training her to not be independent but i didn't care.
texans take their state flower very seriously. we were walking around daddy's campus when we saw that whoever mowed the lawn mowed around this tiny patch of blue bonnets.
date night! john and kathy took us to the tejas rodeo while cassidy watched primmy! we missed her, but knew she and cassidy were having fun. the rodeo was a blast and the steak they sell there?? what dreams are made of.
 cutest little thing.
here she is at almost 5 months old, sitting up like a big girl!
five months old sitting among the wild flowers.
this is when we started giving her baby food. her first was peas and she seriously loved them.
first time swimming! we came to this pool all the time last summer while i was pregnant, it was so much fun to be able to take a little baby with us. she fussed a little bit when we first put her in because it was chilly, but she got happy and enjoyed it! such a water baby.
a lot of firsts happening around here: using her little seat thing at the grocery store! now that she was sitting up pretty confidently i figured it was a good time and she agreed.
(little dress jon picked out for her the week before she was born)
springtime/early summer is so nice here. it just rains and rains and rains, and not just drizzly rain. we are on the third floor so although the wind makes us feel like we are going to fly away like she does on the wizard of oz, the rain on the roof is so pleasant.
see what i mean? so green and beautiful.
prim at her hometown monument.

i sang "it's food time" to Prim and she hated it. i recorded this video to send to my family and they died laughing. sooo sad.
hehe, here she is with aurora (ashton and aaron's babe). they are four months apart. i made that afghan for her and it is so thick that it's actually more like a play mat! ha!
we take walks almost every morning, clearly she loves it.
hey i turned 27! kathy made my favorite: chicken pot pie!
blue ring from grandma mitchell and arrow from jon and prim.
 birthday photo.
