i applied on craigs list for lots and lots of jobs. two weeks later, i had lost hope in any of them. however, victoria's secret called and invited me in for a group interview (ha). I went, and four of us were chosen out of eleven to stay and fill out paper work and all that.
they will let me know in two weeks if i got the job.
then, i got an email from another woman i wrote to. her name is julie. she works for a woman named liz. liz owns a business here in the city, and in washington. she has a 12 year old daughter and a husband living here. she has a house in the hamptons thats "i'd say about....1/2 done with renovations.", and she lives on.....92nd street and park ave.
julie called me yesterday for a phone interview and to explain about the position available. she said that since liz has so much stuff going on, she needs a personal assistant to keep things in order.
-make sure she has groceries
-she has a lot of parties, so help get everything ready for that
-she loves to give gifts. so in her house she has a gift closet that needs to be kept organized and updated.
-sometimes i'll need to make sure her daughter has eaten ("no cooking").
so i'm a little weirded out about all of this, its screaming Nanny Diaries. i thought that was the end, but when she asked me if i was going home for the summer i, of course, said "oh i'm not sure yet........................................." she said "oh thats good! because during the summer they go to the EAST HAMPTONS and take their assistant with them for july and august. really nice place by the beach."

holy crap. If you DONT take this job, I will be forced to not talk to you for an extended period of time. Are you kidding me!?! Chill in the hamptons for the summer with some ultra-rich family!?! Talk about major connections. Ya, you better not mess this one up haha.
