i randomly stumbled upon this post yesterday.

maybe someone linked me to it, but i can't, for the life of me, remember who. 

i decided to do the same thing. 

i'm going to wear a skirt errrday for a week.

today was day one and i already want to give up.

ps. i started school at San Diego State University.

it has been so fun with katie here.

today we just drove around and explored.

we, of course, went grocery shopping and compared prices at a couple stores.

our new favorite thing to do is coupon clip. so frugal!!

we met up with katie robinson 2, and walked around downtown. 

we ate at yard house-just LOOK at that sandwich!!!

so big.
oh, and i think the camera flash hit my ring at just the right angle. 

it was so fun with katie one and two.

i love them both. 

tomorrow, we will sneak into the zoo!!

holidays.

this is what living out of a suitcase for a month looks like.

i'm going to be sad leaving my family, especially my grandma, this weekend...

but i am so ready to have my own space with places to put everything. 

as you can imagine, i am so frustrated with my current living conditions. 

it's been really great being here. i currently DON'T have a legit camera, so these are taken from lizzie on fb.

this was christmas day. me with the birthday girl.

then the three of us and lizzie celebrated NYE! it was such a ball with these cuties.

we celebrated at 10 with audrey and then drove them home. 

at real midnight, we had robbie bang pots and pans. 

we came back inside and i put him in a blanket to warm him up and the next thing i know, he's sound asleep. cutest little kids. 

and this is how gary and i celebrate every christmas, puzzling!

this year, he got me a 500 piece puzzle. it was much too easy.

we went back and got a 1,000 piece puzzle which was way better! it took a few days and boy those painting ones are difficult. 

it's been such a good vacation!

my dad, mei and i drove up to park city for the day. 

we stopped at an irish pub and drank mediocre hot chocolate. 

it was a fun day, a fun little staycation.

yeah, you read that right. i said it just like pre-teen grinch says it.

i've been reallllllllllly grateful this trip that i only have one kitty to clean up after.

since being here, i've had both of my cats and had to clean the litter box for two cats. 

SO GROSS!

so i found this H1N1 mask in the garage and it's SUCH the solution!

(p.s. you see rumbi's right eye?....its got me REALLY worried. why is it white.)

oh i have been waiting for this day for such a long time.

do you want to know the best part about this?

i had no idea how long jon would be gone, so when he left, i decided that i was going to assume he'd be gone 7 months...and count 31 days for every month that he would be gone. that equaled 217 days. that would put his ETA at mid april. 

well, luckily my calculations were WAY off.

we'll...hopefully they were way off. 

jon has been hearing that they're going to be sent home plenty of days before that. 

weeks, possibly?

so i'm celebrating this half way mark with lots of high hopes. 

i am praying that this second half goes faster than the first...espcially since i'm praying even harder that he comes home when they said he would....a lot earlier than i have been counting down for.

i'm still planning on mid/late april...so if he gets home before that, i'll be utterly surprised and happy. i just love him!
